Fire-resistant pallets

Pallets are the invisible backbone of logistics — and a serious fire load inside every warehouse. Ours carry the load without feeding the fire.

Stack of dark mycelium composite pallets in a warehouse

The problem

Timber pallets warp, absorb moisture and burn; plastic pallets melt and are petroleum-derived.

Our material

Moulded mycelium composite densified and reinforced with graphene oxide for load and flame performance.

Where it goes

Warehousing, cold chain, chemicals, electronics and export logistics.

Engineering the composite

Fire resistance is designed into the material itself rather than sprayed on as a retardant coating that wears away.

01

Structure

Moulded monolithic deck and blocks — no nails, no delamination points.

02

Fire behaviour

Graphene-oxide loading promotes char formation and slows flame spread.

03

Moisture

Sealed surface resists absorption, avoiding the warping timber suffers.

04

Handling

Standard footprints compatible with existing forklift and racking systems.

Design intent

Every property here is set during growth and formulation — the performance is the material, not a coating on top of it.

01Inherent flame resistance, not a surface treatment that degrades in service
02Load ratings targeted at standard static, dynamic and racking duty classes
03Dimensional stability across humidity and cold-chain temperature swings
04No heat treatment or fumigation certification burden for export use
05Qualification with logistics partners is the near-term commercial priority
Work with the material

Sampling, qualification and pilot programmes run from our Hyderabad centre.
